iThemba House
iThemba is a House of Safety in Hout Bay, Western Cape, South Africa which has opened its doors to abandoned and traumatized children between birth and 6 years of age. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a loving home environment for these special children.
iThemba is endorsed by Child Welfare, who places the children at iThemba for an indefinite time period, until the children can either be reunited with their parents and families, or until a suitable foster home/adoptive home can be found.
The Medical Education Center supports iThemba House by training all their Staff and volunteers in Child First Aid.
